Lakeside Lodge & Spa, situated in the picturesque town of Sedgefield, invites you to join them in their inaugural Rocking the Lake event on Saturday, 7 November 2015.
The event promises to be a music lover’s delight as Sedgefield’s local rock heroes, The Cloud 9 Band, will be performing their own special take on classic 60s, 70s and 80s Rock n Roll. Their set list includes tributes to The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Animals, Kinks, Eagles, Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Status Quo, Moody Blues, Pink Floyd and many more.
Starting at 3pm in the amphitheatre, guests will be able to enjoy gourmet picnic baskets whilst listening to the band perform until 7pm. The gourmet picnic baskets will be made by Benguela Brasserie and Restaurant’s Executive Chef, Kelly-Anne Pietersen and will include a selection of charcuterie and cheese, fresh-baked artisanal bread, patés, salad, a delectable chocolate brownie and a bottle of either red or white wine from Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate. Cover charge and a picnic basket per person varies between R200 and R250 depending on food and wine preferences.
Guests can extend their stay by booking a night at Lakeside Lodge & Spa in any of the luxurious nine bedroom suites that have views of the Swartvlei Lagoon with its small game and rich bird life. This five-star venue offers a bevy of entertainment options from complimentary mountain bikes, kayaks and canoes to fishing, croquet and a swimming pool.
