Lakeside Lodge & Spa, situated close to Sedgefield in the Garden Route, invites you to join them for their second annual High Tea on the Lake event on Saturday, 23 January 2016. The event takes on a relaxed and serene atmosphere as guests choose between a selection of homemade mini cakes, finger sandwiches, sweet and savoury scones, mini quiche and an assortment of 15 speciality teas.
Benguela Brasserie & Restaurant’s Executive Chef, Kelly-Anne Pietersen is renowned for her French-inspired cooking and dishes with rich tastes and subtle nuances. Kelly-Anne trained with some of the finest chefs in the most prestigious kitchens in South Africa and this knowledge is reflected in her meticulously designed menus.
Kelly-Anne started out working with the former executive chef of the Cape Grace Hotel and then at Ellerman House. She then joined Sofia’s Restaurant at Morgenster Wine and Olive Estate and thereafter extended her range of culinary skills at Bertus Basson’s award-winning Overture Restaurant. Awards include a second place in the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs’ Jeunes Chef Competition and also in the Tastic Chef Competition.
The full High Tea experience includes a glass of bubbly, mini quiche lorraine savoury dish, two finger sandwiches (cucumber and cream cheese or salmon and horseradish), one sweet and one savoury scone, clotted cream, three homemade mini cakes (mini victoria sponge, mini chocolate and coffee cupcakes and Battenberg cake) and a pot of tea. This option can be booked at R190 per person.
