Lakeside Lodge is situated in the Garden Route National Park on the banks of Swartvlei (a magnificent saltwater lake) only minutes away from the pristine beaches of Africa`s first Slow Town, Sedgefield.

The Lodge offers bed & breakfast accommodation set in the most peaceful forest and lake surroundings with warm hospitality and plenty of activities. It is the perfect weekend getaway or retreat if you just need a break to recharge. All rooms are lake facing with beautiful bathrooms (some with spabaths) making it perfect for honeymooners or couples looking for that perfect spot to relax!

Enjoy winter evenings in our guest lounge next to the fireplace with adjoining billiard room. We also provide complimentary wireless internet access and have a computer for guest use. A fire pit and BBQ facilities make for enjoyable evenings around the fire.

Outdoor activities include a swimming pool or a dip in the lake, mountain bikes and spectacular bird watching. The Lodge has a private jetty should you wish to bring your own boat or canoe.

On our doorstep we have the unspoilt golden beaches of the Indian Ocean, fishing (surf, rock & fresh water), diving, paragliding, hiking & mountain biking trails, watersports and more. Sedgefield is renowned for its Saturday markets, village charm, artists and tortoises.

Should you wish to venture further along the Garden Route you can choose from a variety of comfortable daytrips bringing you the Klein Karoo - ostriches and caves, the Knysna & Tsitsikamma forests, shark cage diving, rail experiences, gourmet food & wine, plenty of adrenaline and visit a wild game farm. We can help plan your days and keep you busy for a week or more.
